I’m Not Trying to Replace Your Mom

I'm Not Trying to Replace Your Mom

I have said many times that I never expected to get a divorce, nor did I expect that I would remarry and become a Step Mother (in our house Bonus Mom).  But look at me now, getting ready to celebrate my 4th wedding anniversary with the world’s most amazing husband and enjoying every moment I get with my bonus children and they know I’m Not Trying to Replace Your Mom

Co-Parenting – Moms and Dads Sharing Their Struggles (Part 2)

Co-Parenting - Moms and Dads Sharing Their Struggles (Part 2)

I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of the Co-Parenting collaboration post. My apologies for the delay in between posts as I was sick and needed some surgery, but I am doing much better now. I'm so glad you have joined me for Co-Parenting – Moms and Dads Sharing Their Struggles (Part 2).  In Part 1 of the post I shared insights from Jennifer from Glossy Babe, Betsy from Betsy_Blues, Donna from Bobsy’s Mum and AnnMarie from 15 Acre Homestead and a Blogging Friend.  Each of these Moms is facing a different situation. They’ve either lived it as a child, or lived through it as a child and now are doing it again, are raising children alone, have His, Mine and Ours, or are working with a co-parent who just doesn’t try. In today’s post you will meet a new group parents who are facing their own struggles.

Book Review of Step One, Step Two, Step Three and Four

I received a reader's copy of this book from the Author for review. I was not compensated for my review and the thoughs and opinions are my own.

Step One, Step Two, Step Three and Four

I was extremely excited when I was asked by author Maria Ashworth to review her book Step One, Step Two, Step Three and Four. Maria is a step mother raising a blended family as well so I knew with that in common this book was going to be an interesting read.

A Quick and Easy Craft Project

As a Mom, whether you are working or staying at home, it is often hard to find time to do craft projects. I don't know about you but I find crafts to be very relaxing after a stressful day. For that reason I look for projects that can easily be broken down in to smaller steps that don’t have to be done at once, or projects that are very quick and easy. A quick and easy craft project that I love is making tile coasters.

Fun Family Craft Night

Let’s have a Fun Family Craft Night

There is nothing that excites me more than when my whole family is together. I love family dinners, family movie time and family crafts.  We had a Fun Family Craft Night to make an Easter Bunny Project, just in time for Easter.

The age range for this project was 2 to 15 and everyone enjoyed it even though it was a fairly simplistic project. My 2 year old granddaughter needed help from her Mommy, but the 6 year old was able to do the project with minimal help, mostly just making sure to hold her items long enough for the glue to set enough to hold. Of course, the older children had no problems. The 15 year old enjoyed the project just as much as the 2 year old. Continue reading “Fun Family Craft Night – Easter Bunny Project”

Family Movie Time

I originally wrote the post Family Movie Time for Our Blended Family as a guest post for ThatNoiseIsMine.com   Stop by and give her blog some love.

Because we are a blended family, we try to incorporate as much family time as we can because we are not all together 24/7. One of our favorite ways to spend time together is family movie time.

What we Like

We all love Disney Movies which is perfect because they are well suited for the full range of ages in our family. From my youngest granddaughter who is 2, right on up to our son-in-law who is 22.
